Editorial Policy
Last updated: 12 July 2026
Free Dental CPD exists to help dental professionals find free continuing education without searching dozens of provider portals. This page explains how courses and guides are selected, checked, described and corrected.
Editorial responsibility
The directory is operated and clinically reviewed by Dr Sam, a practising dentist in Australia. Editorial content is authored or reviewed before publication. Automated tools may assist with link checking, course-data processing, formatting and consistency, but they do not determine whether a paid placement is presented as an editorial recommendation.
Course inclusion criteria
A course is normally eligible when it is relevant to dentistry or the dental team, available without a course fee at the point of access, and hosted by an identifiable education provider. A free provider account, marketing opt-in or product-focused presentation does not automatically exclude a course, but these conditions may be explained where relevant.
Each catalogue record aims to state the provider, course title, clinical category, CPD or CE hours, certificate availability, source URL and the date it was added or reviewed. A certificate marker means the provider states that a completion certificate is available; it does not mean every regulator will accept that certificate.
How listings are checked
New listings are reviewed against the provider page before publication. Automated link checks then identify broken, redirected or unavailable URLs for manual review. Providers change content frequently, so users should confirm cost, availability, accreditation and certificate conditions on the provider's website before beginning a course.
Ranking and recommendations
Ordinary directory results are not sold. Search and filter results are based on the user's query and catalogue fields. Editorial picks are selected for practical relevance or teaching value and are labelled as editorial. Sponsored or affiliate placements are separately labelled and are governed by the Advertising Disclosure.
Clinical and regulatory information
Country and professional-role guides summarise publicly available regulator information and practical considerations. They are educational summaries, not legal, regulatory or clinical advice. Requirements can change, and the relevant registration board, professional body or course provider remains the authoritative source.
Corrections, conflicts and updates
Providers and readers are encouraged to report dead links, incorrect hours, certificate errors, expired courses or conflicts of interest through the contact page. Material corrections are made as soon as reasonably practical. Advertising relationships do not prevent a correction or removal.
What we do not promise
Inclusion is not an endorsement of every statement, product or technique in a course. We do not independently peer review each lecture, guarantee that a listing remains free, or guarantee that a regulator will award credit. Dental professionals should apply their own clinical judgement and verify requirements relevant to their jurisdiction.
